First victories and great emotions in Baborówko

Sporting excitement, international competition and the first winners – Baborówko Jumping Show 2026 is officially underway. The opening day brought a number of exciting rounds from Polish and international riders. The arenas in Baborówko saw fierce competition for victory, clear rounds and plenty of action across the different classes.

The highest-ranking class on Friday, the CSI2* Big Tour (140 cm), for the prize of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, under the patronage of the Wielkopolska Equestrian Association (WZJ), was won by Sven Gero Hünicke from Germany riding Vogelvau. Tomma Thiesen with Manuel Von Der Soehr finished second, while Angelos Touloupis with Del Rey Of The Lowlands Z took third.

In the CSI2* Medium Tour (130 cm), for the prize of Agrochest, Szymon Stasiak with Nobel Van Het Vinckenhof Zand Siarhei Kazlou with Minerva shared the victory. Andrius Petrovas with Walkiria and Julia Szpanska with Captain Van De Helsthoeve Z finished second, while Szymon Stasiak with Ti Amo DBH Z and Mylen Kruse with L’Amour De Mauretus Z took third.

The CSI1* Special Tour (110 cm), for the prize of Baborówko Palace, was won by Julia Dziurkiewicz riding Czarna Perła. Karel Lamich with Quincess finished second, while Hanna Pis with Crystal Sky took third.

In the CSI1 Small Tour (120 cm), for the prize of Badix, Beata Strzałkowska claimed victory with Medisson and also took second place with Cascadetto. Jacek Muraczewski with Aria finished third.

Arena D opened with the young horse classes. In the CSIYH1* Youngster Tour for 5-year-old horses (115 cm), the following combinations completed clear rounds: Bartosz Gauza and Love Me More PJ, Martin Rozynek and Eve Z, Filip Skrzyczyński and Chupa & Chups, Alicja Czapska and Lovely B, Migle Janciauske and Rivaldo, Emilia Ograbek and Aganix Junior Ok Z, Weronika Guszpil and Sunshine, Mette Askham Jensen and Gracious Blue H.A.P DWB, and Julia Błaszczak and Cumano VD Berghoeve Z.

In the CSIYH1* Youngster Tour for 6- and 7-year-old horses (125/130 cm), for the prize of Stadnina Kunowo, Siarhei Kazlou took the win with Orestes-R. Mylen Kruse finished second with Lord Happy and third with Calista Hilde.

Friday’s programme on Arena D also included the CSI1* Intro Tour (100 cm), where Lena Sobczyk took the win with Ogano’s Ambre. Henryk Święcicki with Sunderland finished second, while Maja Andrzejewska with Verdie Adelheid Z took third.

Friday evening in Baborówko is about more than sport. At 8:30 p.m., the sixth edition of Baborówko Foal Auction will take place, featuring a collection of exceptional show-jumping foals bred by Polish breeders.

Baborówko Jumping Show continues until Sunday. Saturday will bring further CSI2*, CSI1* and CSIYH1* classes, including the CSI2* Big Tour at 145 cm, while Sunday will see the most important decisions of the weekend – the finals of the various tours and the CSI2* Grand Prix with a jump-off at 145 cm.
